7 Amazing SuperHuman Feats

1. Wim Hof, an adventurer and daredevil from the Netherlands holds 20 world records. Most of them being related to freezing cold temperatures, thus supplying him with the nickname 'IceMan.' Hof ran an Arctic marathon at a temperature of minus 20 degrees fahrenheit (minus 29 degrees Celsius) - while shirtless. He holds the world record for being immersed in ice for 1 hour and 44 minutes. He survived outside wearing nothing but shorts for 72 minutes at the North Pole. We ask how does this man perform these incredible feats. The answer is, Wim uses a method known as the Tantric practice of Tummo, which is practicd by Yogi Monks in Tibet. It involves focusing on the body's energies and turning them into heat.

2. John Evans stands 6 feet 6 inches tall, weighing in at 343 pounds. This goliath is from Britain and holds a record for balancing a 352 pound mini car for 33 seconds...on his head. He calls himself a professional 'Head Balancer' and holds 25 records in 11 Guinness World Record categories. He credits his neck which measures 24 inches in the width, allowing him to perform such incredible feats.

3. Most of, if not all of us have heard about the amazing feat of someone lifting a car off someone else in a quick burst of super human strength. The story of a mother lifting the car off the ground to save her child. Well this is not to far fetched in this incidence. In 2008, a firefighter from Florida, Chris Hickman arrived at the scene of a car crash, where a chevrolet blazer flipped and landed on it's side, pinning the drivers arm to the pavement. Hickman lifted the truck a foot off the ground, which freed the driver. A true hero in my opinion.

4. Sakinat Khanapiyeva, A 76 year old woman from Dagestan can perform amazing feats you wouldn't believe. At this age she can lift 52 pound Dumb-Bells, Break horseshoes, and twist 2 inch steel rods in half. She first discovered her super strength when she moved a 661 pound container of grain (equivalent to the weight of four full grown men), by herself when she was only 10 years old.

5. Los Angeles native Dean Karnazes is a long distance runner, and when I say long distance, I mean long distance. Calling it the 50/50/50, Dean ran 50 marathons, in 50 states, in 50 consecutive days! He started at the Lewis and Clark Marathon in St. Louis on September 17, 2006 and finished with the New York City Marathon on November 5th. Karnazes also ran 135 miles (217 Km) across Death Valley in the Mojave Desert.
