On Friday December 13th, the city of Cairo in Egypt was covered in a soft blanket of snow for the first time in 112 years. This is an incredible phenomenon as the temperatures in Egypt rarely ever reach that low, especially for snowfall. Even though there were a few disappointed people, others took to the streets of the winter wonderland, posting pictures and flooding social media with amazing photos. Unfortunately, the photo of the sphinx covered in snow is not real, and is actually a scale model in Japan, but still it snowed in Egypt!
